Stone Massage
A stone massage is done by using heated stones (either Jade or Basalt) instead of the therapist’s hands. This treatment provides moist heat which penetrates the deeper layers of muscle and soft tissue allowing for an increase in circulation and decrease in tension. You can enjoy similar benefits to a deep tissue massage without requiring the same amount of pressure, making this treatment popular with those who don’t enjoy deep tissue work but still seek the benefits. In certain circumstances the therapist may use cold stones as well. These are great for helping clear sinuses, dealing with headaches and increasing lymph movement.
Benefits of Stone Massage include:
Relaxing muscle tension
Easing mental stress
Relieving muscle pain
Promoting better sleep patterns
Alleviating muscle spasms
