I have been a practicing RMT since graduating from Makami College with a 3000 Hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma in 2017. I always knew I wanted to be in a profession that made a difference in people’s lives. But it was my experience with equine massage therapy that originally sparked my interest in pursuing this career path. After witnessing the incredible benefits that it provided to my equine companions I realized I wanted to help people resolve their pain and mobility issues in that same way. Throughout my schooling I gained additional certification in Hot Stone Massage and Myofascial Cupping. Since graduating, I have furthered my training with Indian Head Massage (focuses on the neck, face and scalp – great for headaches, TMJ and general stress relief), PNF/Assisted Stretching, Rapid Neurofascial Reset, and most recently completing my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2020.
Working as a therapist has given me a deeper appreciation for the anatomy and physiology of the body. The way we all have the exact same systems but are still so individual and unique. I approach my treatments with the philosophy that what works for one may not work for all. My intention is to find the specific treatment approach that will work the best for each individual.
Outside of work you can find me in the yoga studio, hiking and camping in the mountains with my husband and two dogs, or curled up with coffee and a good book. I am so excited to be a part of such a skilled team here at Bloom to help you achieve your wellness goals!
